Izzy’s Ices in Downtown Santa Cruz is hitting the "refresh" button! We’ve spent over two years perfecting our craft, and now we’re looking for a foundation crew of independent, fast-learning individuals to help us run the show.
The #1 Requirement: Must Love the Product!
We don’t just hire "scoopers"; we hire Brand Ambassadors. You must actually like Italian Ice to work here. If you’ve been in a few times and love the vibe, you’re exactly who we’re looking for. The Role: The Solo Shop Operator
At Izzy’s, you aren’t just a "scooper." You are a Barista, a Pretzel Pro, and a Brand Ambassador all in one. Because our shifts are typically solo, we need people who take pride in "owning" the shop while they’re on the clock.
What We’re Looking For:
Adult Professionalism: Applicants must be 18 years or older to be considered for this role.
High-Speed Precision: You grasp new skills quickly—whether it’s pulling a perfect espresso, mastering the "Izzy’s Shave," or timing a hot pretzel.
System-Driven: We have clear, documented processes. You love a good checklist because it helps you move fast without missing a beat.
Experience (Huge Plus!): Previous experience with Espresso/Coffee or Food Handling is highly preferred and will put you at the top of our list.
Authentically Reliable: You’re the "CEO" of your shift. You show up on time, every time, ready to lead.

Starting Wage: $17.00/hr.
Tips: Avg. range of $2.00–$6.00+ per hour extra.
